Privacy Policy

What follows applies to parkroutes.com, where Parkroutes publishes Parkroutes. It covers what we collect, who else is involved, and the rights you hold.
Exercising Your Rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to fix it, ask us to delete it, ask for a portable copy, or object to how it is used. You can also opt out of any sale or sharing of your data for advertising purposes. These rights arise under the GDPR (UK and EU) and under CCPA/CPRA and other US state privacy laws. We recognise Global Privacy Control. See also Do Not Sell or Share and the State Privacy Notice.
Under-Age Visitors
This is not a children’s site. It is not directed to under-13s (or under-16s where that threshold applies), no data is knowingly collected from them, and any that arrives is deleted once identified.
About Cookies
Cookies and similar browser storage are covered separately, in detail, in our Cookie Policy.
-
Where advertising is served, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Retention Periods
Storage is time-limited and purpose-limited. Subscriber and comment data goes when you withdraw it; analytics data expires on schedule. The site is served over HTTPS, access to what we hold is restricted, and safeguards are kept proportionate to the data involved. No safeguard is perfect.
Vendors and Partners
To publish at all we depend on third parties: hosting, analytics, email, and where applicable advertising. Each has its own privacy policy. Advertising and analytics vendors in particular act as independent controllers, so that policy — not this one — governs how they use what they collect.
Email Preferences
Email goes only to people who asked for it, verified by a double opt-in step. Each send includes an unsubscribe link and a postal address, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away.
Data We Gather
We may record the usual technical details of a visit (IP address, device, browser, referrer, pages requested) together with anything you volunteer: your email address if you subscribe, and the name and address attached to any comment you post.
Because this site covers Parkroutes, one point deserves its own sentence — we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.
What We Do With It
Purposes: operating parkroutes.com; measuring which of our guides, comparisons and reference pages draw readers; sending the newsletter to subscribers; and supporting advertising where it is displayed.
Questions
